My Infrared Back Yard

I learned sometime last year that my Canon S2 camera had some sensitivity to the near-infrared portion of the EM spectrum. So, I finally borrowed an R72 Infrared filter and hooked it up to see what would happen.

Following as much of the processing instructions from here that I could without a full version of Photoshop, here's my first test image.

Not too shabby, but it could still use some work. It turned out well enough though that I'll probably grab my own filter and upgrade my version of Photoshop Elements to keep practicing.

Here are a few more versions that I took of my back yard as well. From left to right: Raw off the camera (using the Tungsten white balance setting), Custom WB with auto levels, and Custom WB saved to black and white with auto levels.
