If you had Dan Paille in the Sabres injury pool for tonight, you are the big winner. 6 injuries in 5 games. This is almost getting funny now. Even Lindy Ruff noted in the postgame interview, "I told (Rochester Amerks coach) Randy (Cunneyworth) we don't need him anymore. I'm coaching both teams. I've got most of his players here now." If it weren't 6 weeks from the playoffs, it would definitely be funny. But after losing Game 7 of the East Finals last year because they basically ran out of bodies, this is starting to look like a bad case of deja vu.
So here's to the recovery of: Tim Connolly, Paul Gaustad, Jaroslav Spacek, Maxim Afinogenov, Jiri Novotny, Ales Kotalik, and now Dan Paille. May your recovery time be short and may there be a Stanley Cup victory waiting for you.
